BHS 3000 Premium and Standard Keypads

Arm and Disarm

Arm:

  • To arm in STAY mode with motion detectors off, press [ON] + [MOTION OFF}
  • To arm in AWAY mode with motion detectors off, press [ON] + [MOTION OFF] + [INSTANT].
  • To arm in INSTANT mode, with motion detectors on, press [ON] + [INSTANT].

Disarm:

  • To disarm, enter your [security code].

Battery

  • The BHS 3000C operates on a UB 1270 battery.
  • Loss of AC power and use of backup battery power is indicated by NO AC.
  • A low battery condition is indicated by BAT.

Bypass Protected Areas

Bypassing a zone allows you to arm your system with certain protected areas intentionally unarmed or to access a protected area when the system is armed.

  • To bypass a zone, press [*] to enter the function menu.
  • Press [1] OR [*], then your [security code].
  • Enter the two digit number of the zone to be bypassed OR use the [<>] keys to find the zone.
  • Press [*] to select a zone.
  • A [B] will appear once a zone has been bypassed.
  • To exit bypassing mode and return to Ready state, press [#].

  • To unbypass a zone, enter the two digit zone number OR use [<>] to find the zone, then press [*]. The [B] will disappear from the display.

Change Date and Time

The display window of the Premium keypad may show the time of day.  You do not have to set the clock.  It will adjust itself automatically every few months.

Chimes and Beeps

When your system is in chime mode, a chime alert will sound three tones whenever a protected door/window is opened.

  • To turn chime mode on and off using the Standard keypad, press [OPTIONS] + [2] + [security code].
  • To turn chime mode on and off using the Premium keypad, press and hold the [OPTIONS] until the display reads [DOOR CHIME, ENTER CODE], then enter your [security code].

Reset

  • To reset the system after an alarm event, first enter your [security code].
  • Then, to view the event, press the [Options] button until the display shows [Alarm Memory, Enter Code] + your [security code].

Security Codes

You can program up to 91 additional security codes for use by other users, however only the Master user can assign user codes to users.

  • To add a user code using the Standard keypad, press [OPTIONS] + [3] +[security code] + [new user number] + [new user code]. They keypad will beep in confirmation.
  • To add a user code using the Premium keypad, press and hold the [OPTIONS] button until the display reads [AUXILIARY CODES, ENTER MASTER CODE], then enter your [security code] + [new user number] + [new user code]. They keypad will beep in confirmation.
  • To delete a user code using the Standard keypad, press [OPTIONS] + [3] + [user number] + [CANCEL]. They keypad will beep in confirmation.
  • To delete a user code using the Premium keypad, press and hold the [OPTIONS] button until the display reads [AUXILIARY CODES, ENTER MASTER CODE], then enter your [security code] + [user number] + [CANCEL]. They keypad will beep in confirmation.

The Master Code cannot be changed at the keypad. Please call 1-800-ADT-ASAP for assistance.

Trouble Conditions

Your security system is able to automatically test itself for power failures, low batteries, nonworking sensors, and communication troubles with the ADT Monitoring Centers. In the event that your system does have a trouble condition, refer to the tables below to identify the trouble code and resolve your issue.

To silence trouble beeps, press [CANCEL] twice.

Volume

The volume on the BHS 3000C is not adjustable.
