Glassbreak Detector Troubleshooting
Your glassbreak detector is designed to sense the sound of breaking glass. This troubleshooting information refers to the FlexGuard 5853.

Testing the Detector
The detector should be tested at least once per year. Test the detector by standing in front of the glassbreak detector and playing a simulated glassbreak sound.
To test the glassbreak detector:
This may cause your system to alarm. Please make all occupants of the home or business aware that the siren may sound and that it is only a test.
- Place your system on test.
- Be sure that the speaker on your phone, tablet or laptop is at full volume.
- Stand within 12" of the glassbreak with your phone, tablet or laptop.
- Click on ▶ below to play the simulated glassbreak sound.
If your system alarms, the test is successful. - Cancel the alarm at the keypad
- Take your system off test
