ADT Command 2x16 AIO - Quick Guide



Arm and Disarm

Arming and disarming your system on the keypad is easy. Follow these steps for the different options:

Arm Away

  1. Enter your User Code
  2. Press "2"
  3. System beeps 2 times to confirm

At this point, the countdown for you to exit before your system arms will start. Note: You can only do silent arming from the ADT Control app, not the keypad or keyfob.

Arm Stay

Your exterior doors and windows will be armed. Interior motion detectors and doors will remain disarmed, allowing you to freely move about the premises.

  1. Enter your User Code
  2. Press "3"
  3. System beeps 3 times to confirm

Arm Instant

Arms your exterior doors and windows to instant status. So if someone opens one of them, the alarm will sound without any delay

  1. Enter your User Code
  2. Press "7"
  3. System beeps 3 times to confirm

Arm Night Stay

Night Stay can arm your exterior doors and windows and selected interior zones to instant status. So if someone opens one of them, the alarm will sound without any delay.

  1. Enter your User Code
  2. Press "3", then "3" again
  3. System beeps 3 times to confirm

Arm Maximum

Arms all perimeter and interior zones with no entry delay

  1. Enter your User Code
  2. Press "4"
  3. System beeps 2 times to confirm

Quick Arm

Just press "Arm Away" or "Arm Stay" - no need to enter your user code

Disarming Your Panel

  1. Enter your User Code.
  2. Press "1" or "Off"

 

Battery

  • The ADT Command 2x16 AIO operates on either a 3.6V, 2480AH Lithium-ion battery pack, for 4 hours of backup power, or a 3.6/4.2V, 7500mAH Lithium-ion battery pack, for 24 hours of backup power.

Bypass Protected Areas

Your system allows you to bypass up to five of your system’s sensors. For instance, if you want to keep your back door open to let your dog have access to the back yard, you can bypass that sensor. Here’s how:

  1. Enter your User Code.
  2. Press "6"
  3. Press the 3-digit zone number for each zone to be bypassed.

Display Bypassed Zones

To view which zones have been bypassed before arming the system

  1. Enter your User Code
  2. Press "Bypass"

Chimes and Beeps

Your system can play a beep whenever a door or window is opened. This may be useful when, for example, you want to know when children enter or leave the home. 

To Door Chime on or off, enter your User Code, then press "9"

Reset

It is recommended that you clear the system status after an alarm event. 

To reset your panel, 

  1. Enter your User Code
  2. Press "1"
  3. Enter your User Code again
  4. Press "1" 

 

Security Codes

Your system can accept up to 96 user codes. Code #01 is designated as the Master Code. This code allows the user full access to the system features and functions. It is programmed initially by the ADT technician when your system is installed.

  • User Codes can be assigned an Authority Level
  • Only the System Master and the Partition Master can assign security codes to users
  • Only the System Master can change partitions

Change a Master Code

To change the Master Code,

  1. Enter the current Master Code
  2. Press "8" 
  3. Press "01" (the Master Code is always code #01)
  4. Type the new 4-digit Master Code
  5. Type the new code again for verification

Add or Change a User Code

To add or change a code for a system user,

  1. Enter the current Master Code
  2. Press "8"
  3. Press the 2-digit slot number (02 - 96) for this user 
  4. Type the new 4-digit User Code

It is recommended that you keep a list of the slot numbers that you have assigned for future reference.

Delete a User Code

To delete a user code (the Master Code cannot be deleted)

  1. Enter the current Master Code
  2. Press "8"
  3. Press the 2-digit slot number (02 - 96) to be deleted
  4. Press "#" "0"

Authority Levels

Each User Code can be assigned an Authority level, so that you can limit the actions specific users can perform on the system. The Authority levels are:

  • 0 - This is the default authority. This user can arm and disarm the system, and bypass zones
  • 1 - Can only Arm the system. This may be used, for example, for contractors who you want to arm the system when they leave the home after their work is done 
  • 2 - Can Arm and Disarm, but cannot bypass. This authority level is commonly used for guests, babysitters, cleaners, etc.
  • 3 - Duress - The level has the same authority as "0", and will also send a silent alarm to ADT when used
  • 4 - Partition Master - This level has the same authority as the Master Code, but only for the designated partition. This level cannot change the Master Code

To assign an Authority Level to a User Code

  1. Enter the system Master Code
  2. Press "8"
  3. Press the 2-digit slot number for the User Code to be assigned the authority
  4. Press "#" "1"
  5. Press the 1-digit Authority Level (0 - 4) for the authority to be assigned

Partitions

Some systems may be divided into partitions, for example, one for the main house and another for the guest house. You may assigned user codes that will function in all or only one of the partitions. For example, you may give a guest a code to operate the system in the guest house, but not the system in the main house. Partition levels are:

  • 1 - Partition 1 and any common areas
  • 2 - Partition 2 and any common areas
  • 3 - Partition 3 and any common areas
  • 4 - Common Areas only

To assign a Partion to a User Code

  1. Enter the system Master Code
  2. Press "8"
  3. Press the 2-digit slot number for the User Code to be assigned the partition
  4. Press "#" "3" "0"
  5. Press the 1-digit Partition Level (0 - 4) for the partition to be assigned
  6. Press "#"

When assigning more than one partition, enter the partition numbers sequentially, then press "#"
